Women’s Life & Wellbeing Coaching
Whether you are just starting out in the industry or you are a million dollar performer, Real Estate can at times feel isolating and overwhelming when you are not operating from a space of inspiration, productivity and efficiency. As a performance coach for over 10 years I have worked alongside some of the industry’s leading and most progressive agents; on the contrary I have also supported, encouraged and trained many agents fresh to the Real Estate industry.
I have experienced the stress of working in the corporate world whilst raising children, trying to keep a partner feeling loved and happy – all while having a career that brings me joy & fulfilment. I’ve gained weight, lost weight and had crippling anxiety. Yet I’ve survived, grown & today I am the happiest I am have ever been.
I was born & breed in Burnie a small coastal town on the North West Coast of Tasmania.
My upbringing was certainly not a traditional one. From a young age I went to live with my Grandmother and Aunty and only saw my dad on the weekends & for school holidays. My grandmother was one tuff cookie who worked hard to support and raise my sister & I. As I have grown & matured I’m eternally grateful to her; for her love, strength and work ethic and for always being there.
As children & teenagers we don’t often have the emotional intelligence to know what we have and to embrace it. It is only later in life we can really appreciate what we have had. Without my Nan & Aunty I’m not sure where I may have ended up. I’m one of 7 children, now some would say - hold on a minute! 7, really! Yes, some are 1/2 sisters, but to me they are my sisters for life - regardless of who their mother or father is. All of us have been brought up by really strong independent women - I’m pretty sure I know where my independence and some would say stubbornness comes from. All I can say is that those traits have supported me through my life and helped me become the person I am today. I like to think that as I have aged - I have grown & evolved – time and time again. I’m not the same person I was 20, 10 or 5 years ago or even yesterday for that matter. That is the beautiful thing about life – it is always changing, we learn, grow and take our experiences along with us imprinted in our spirit for all of our days. I adore getting older for this very reason.
I have been married to the love of my life & divorced. This was an incredibly sad time in my life, however again it taught me so much – about myself and love. My former husband is my best friend to this very day, and I cherish that wholeheartedly. I have raised two amazing, beautiful daughters. I’ve welcome a very special son in-law into our family and in more recent times, I experienced the absolute joy & unconditionally love of becoming a grandmother “NanNan” – as I am so affectionately named. My family are the loves for my life. Everything I have done and continue to do is with them in my heart at all times.
My very first job was at 12 working in a little corner store. I have certainly had many roles since that little corner store - retail, hospitality, business owner, Real Estate, consulting, coaching/counselling and list keeps growing. Knowledge is power - experience is knowledge. That is the thing about being in the workforce for over 40 years now I have been able to develop, grow and cultivate a career today that embodies everything I love, my strengths and passions and I am sure in some ways encompasses snippets of all of these different roles over my lifetime. With a corporate career spanning over 20 years now I have seen firsthand the impact felt by women in the working world. Raising families, supporting schooling, nurturing marriages all whilst showing up at 8:30am, neat, tidy and respectable to begin the work day. It is no surprise to me that women are feeling tired, uncared for, overweight and depleted on so many levels. It is this very reason that I am passionately spreading the message of Well Women – because I believe when women are thriving in the body and mind their businesses and personal life are impacted in ways that create happier, healthier and love filled lives – and families.
I want that for you – as a corporate women in the world.
Because, I believe Well Women in the world will make the biggest different in our lifetime.
